Who’s a good boy?

Charlie is recovering from his puppy surgery. He was snipped and chipped on Thursday.

Gary Larson’s Far Side cartoon (above) always come to mind when I hear of an animal being neutered. If you’re unfamiliar with his work, look him up, you’re in for a treat.

Did someone say treat?

Charlie seems to be recovering well but I’m not sure how I’ll keep him on limited activity for 10 days. I hope we can make it for 7.

He looks adorable in the cone and really only needs it if he’s being left alone or at night. Charlie is doing well, but doesn’t understand that running around the house and leaping down the stairs are not what to doctor ordered.

    1. Thanks, Elaine! He’s a Valentine’s Day baby so he’s 6 1/2 months old. I had been told 5-7 months is the sweet spot before they become aggressive and demonstrate “male” behavior. I know others have waited longer.
      Is yours also a Goldendoodle?

  1. It’s funny because the vet tech said he might have trouble going up or down stairs and we live in a vertical 3 story house so I was worried. No need to be worried except for the fact he leaps down the stairs like a boss!
