Crescent Moon Morning

Just before sunrise the moon looked like it was resting on the peak outside my window.

      1. I’m not enough of a nerd to know if this is even possible (showing my ignorance here), but… this makes me wonder if anyone has played with the dark sky photography concept, but with the moon when it is full dark. I may have to go research.

        1. New moon (when the moon isn’t visible because there is no reflection of light from the sun) would be hard to find/film in the sky. To the best of my knowledge you wouldn’t be able to do it but if you find out otherwise, PLEASE let me know! I love learning new things.

            1. I’m sorry you were disappointed, but I’m glad to know what I had learned is still correct.
The days leading up to new moon, which is tonight, are the best chance to see the bright crescent with the shadow of the whole moon.

              1. I really kind of knew this, I just also thought it would be possible, especially since you can get a camera to show so many more stars than your eyes can see when you do the dark sky photography. Live and learn!
