Rockefeller Center was surprisingly the least crowded place we visited on a walk in the city. I’m always amazed by the sea of humanity in the city. Later last night, I discovered a friend’s pictures showing the same views. #NextTime

I'm a reading specialist from Chicago, now living in the beauty of the Roosevelt National Forest in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. My first book "Aliana Reaches for the Moon" features a creative and curious girl who loves science, her little brother, and her very patient parents. I'm currently writing a MG novel and several picture books with STEM elements and dogs. View more posts
That looks exciting and fun.
I’d be kinda terrified of such a big city…lol

It’s both fun and terrifying. 😂 I was with a friend who knows her way around so that makes it easier. I also spent a few weeks in the summer in NY so I have a better sense of it than before. I’m a Chicago girl so City life isn’t foreign to me.

Summer and fall are the best. Winter is colder than you can imagine and spring is rainy.

Humidity isn’t a problem unless you have to be dressed up or you have hair that gets crazy like mine.

It’s big! I am surrounded by pines at home, but don’t cut them down to bring them in the house.

Oops! Hit sent before I finished 😂 Anyway, born and raised in NY. Love the energy of NYC! My dad was a police officer with the NYPD. Glad you had a great time!

Wow! I’m a Chicago girl and never felt the need to visit NYC because we had so many of the same experiences. Now that I live in the mountains, it’s a nice change and I have a daughter who lives nearby plus other family and friends in the city. I’ve spent a lot of time there in the past 2 1/2 years.
