Blog

In 2017, my first blogpost was written to honor the memory of my beloved Riley. He was our family dog and he knew the answer to “Who’s a good boy?” was always “Me, I’m a good boy!” because we told him so every day. If you know me or follow my blog, you know I’m a dog lover. You also know that even though my heart needed time to mend, I found a new four-legged love who is featured often, and also a very good boy!

Since 2017 I’ve used the blog as a way to share my photography, observations about the beauty of nature, things that inspire me and touch my heart.

In January 2021, I added interviews with authors and illustrators each with a giveaway. The writing community has been such a supportive and encouraging element of my life that during Covid, adding interviews helped me stay connected. In 2023, I cut back to two interviews per month and am considering only featuring one interview per month in 2024.

In 2023 I committed to two weekly challenges. Wordless Wednesday a photograph, no title, no caption. Haiku Saturday (sample below) a photograph and a haiku. The haiku does not need to follow the 5/7/5 rule but mine generally do and I only share my own photography. To my knowledge, this challenge originated on Twitter.
