Today I’m happy to introduce Rachel S. Hobbs debut picture book author who has wonderful fairy tale retelling that you are definitely going to want to read! TANGO RED RIDING HOOD, beautifully illustrated by Carolina Vázquez and published by GnomeRoad Publishing is a clever, bilingual twist on a familiar favorite and includes a Spanish-English glossary. TANGO RED RIDING HOOD has all the usual story elements but it includes singing and dancing adding another fun element for a read aloud.
Rachel is offering one lucky winner two prizes, a picture book critique (less than 600 words please) AND a 20 minute Ask-Me-Anything Zoom. Comment on this blogpost to enter the giveaway!

What were you like at the age of your target audience?
My head was always in the clouds, inventing stories to play out, like in this picture where I had gotten stuck in my “spaceship” (a tomato cage.)

What inspires you?
Music inspires me, hence my book’s subject matter, and immersing myself in all kinds of storytelling, like books, movies, video games, comics, and board games.
What’s the one thing you hope your readers take away from your book?
Music connects people to each other even when you don’t speak the same language, it helps you learn about yourself, and helps you find your way.
What’s next for you?
I recently reorganized a lot in my life, including my workload, to devote more time to my writing career.
