A Morning glory grows in Nederland

When winter was still going strong, I dreamed of spring and summer. I dreamed of flowers, herbs and fresh vegetables. It’s a leap of faith planting seeds inside in order to have plants in the ground 2 months later. I’m not known for a green thumb but my extreme optimism makes up for it. Plus, I have an excellent gardener for a partner. Today our first flower bloomed from the seeds we planted.                                               It took me back to a beloved book, “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.” Below is a quote from that book that I believe is an inspiring life philosophy.

“Look at everything always as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time: Thus is your time on earth filled with glory.”  — Betty Smith

I'm a reading specialist from Chicago, now living in the beauty of the Roosevelt National Forest in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. My first book "Aliana Reaches for the Moon" features a creative and curious girl who loves science, her little brother, and her very patient parents. I'm currently writing a MG novel and several picture books with STEM elements and dogs.
