Afternoon sunlight filters through trees
and dances atop the lake like twinkling diamonds.
In the distance,
peaks above the tree line with their pockets of snow that stayed all summer
add to the beauty and feeling of remoteness
the trill and rat-a-tat-tat of birds create the soundtrack.

Ugh…
I haven’t been hiking in over a year and I soooo, soooo, soooo what to go.

Thanks, I hope you have the chance to hike soon. Since Charlie came into my life a year and a half ago, hiking is even better than ever. Heβs the best encouragement to get out.
