Super Wolf Blood Moon

Just like an infomercial where they say, “But wait, there’s more!”

Sunday night I was thrilled to watch the lunar eclipse from my balcony. The skies were clear and it was magical seeing it and recording it photographically.

After capturing the last pictures I posted yesterday, I went inside to warm up. Then, I went back out to see the blood moon and got these shots. Unfiltered, the moon looks more purple than red.

Some facts about the American Kestrel:

  • They live in areas with low vegetation and few trees.
  • They hunt by day.
  • They are the most common falcon in North America.
  • They dine on insects, small rodents, small birds.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s photo, Haiku, and learning. Thanks for stopping by.
