Snow Day 10/10/19

I love autumn. Aspen leaves changing from green to shades of yellow that dance and catch the sunlight in ways the delight. But in Colorado, the calendar may say October 10th, but winter demands attention.

The day before was 75, today 10/11, is 40 and the warmth of the sun fierce. But the warning of winter coming is clear.

Halloween done perfectly (Piermont part one)

Playing tourist yesterday in a quaint New York town on the Hudson River, I saw this inviting display outside of a store. I’m not a fan of scary decorations, artificial cobwebs (since I work hard to get rid of real ones), or anything with blood & gore. This embodies my idea of Halloween. πŸŽƒ πŸ§‘πŸŒΌπŸŽƒπŸ§‘πŸŒΌ

Taking the scenic path

Two years ago I moved from Chicago which is well known for beautiful cityscapes to the Rocky Mountains which is equally well known for its breathtaking landscapes.

Today, as I reflect upon my daughter’s wedding yesterday, the second daughter to be married this year, and my own birthday, I’m definitely thinking about what path I have chosen.

Do we choose our path, or does it choose us?
