Sometimes when I’m driving in the mountains, not far from home, I catch a view that can’t be described. Even the photo doesn’t really do it justice. The snow capped peaks looked iridescent and whiter in real life.
I'm a reading specialist and award winning educator from Chicago now living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with my Goldendoodle, Charlie. I spend time volunteering, hiking on the trails with Charlie and friends, and writing. I love visiting schools and mentoring writers and teachers. My books combine STEM and Kindness. "Aliana Reaches for the Moon" a picture book that draws inspiration from the moon and the curiosity of children, inviting children to be creative, explore, and experiment. "An Accidental Hero: A Mostly True Wombat Story" a picture book told in the form of a newscast which skillfully balances the serious subject of forest fires with compassion and humor to help children navigate this important topic through the real events of 2020. I'm currently working on a middle grade novel and several picture books with STEM elements and dogs.

Thank you. 😊 Yes, all the pictures I share are my own photography unless it’s a picture of me.

Thank you! This one was magic because I don’t usually leave the house so early.
