It’s Hard to Pick a Favorite #50PreciousWords

I’m a big fan of writing contests and of Vivian Kirkfield. Her contest is challenging because telling a story with 50 words or less is not easy! Here’s the link to the contest and my story is shared below.

It’s Hard to Pick a Favorite, by Laura Roettiger

(47 Words)

A favorite?
I like them all –
the little one with sticky hands,
the one who plays tug-o-war,
the one who walks me rain or shine,
the one who cuddles me at night.

I know I’m EVERYONE’S favorite furry friend,
so can’t they all be MY favorite, too?

inspired by Charlie and my many other beloved pets.

I'm a reading specialist from Chicago, now living in the beauty of the Roosevelt National Forest in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. My first book "Aliana Reaches for the Moon" features a creative and curious girl who loves science, her little brother, and her very patient parents. I'm currently writing a MG novel and several picture books with STEM elements and dogs.
