Late May snow?
Maybe it won’t happen, we thought.
But it did.
Plants covered, hunkered down.
Flip flops traded for boots.
Wet, heavy. sloppy.
We need the moisture.
Blue skies returned.
Back to spring.

I'm a reading specialist from Chicago, now living in the beauty of the Roosevelt National Forest in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. My first book "Aliana Reaches for the Moon" features a creative and curious girl who loves science, her little brother, and her very patient parents. I'm currently writing a MG novel and several picture books with STEM elements and dogs. View more posts

I like this. I live in NY. Always keep my winter coat hanging on a peg just in case.

Thanks! Yes, we can get 3 seasons in a day here. Happy that the snow is gone now and we are back to summer.

Thank you! I’m happy to say the snow is gone and most of the plants look unharmed. 😎

Seriously! I didn’t think it would be as much as it was and now that it’s melted, I’m happy to say my plants made it through. I have a few that we think will come back, but most of them are fine.
