I'm a reading specialist from Chicago, now living in the beauty of the Roosevelt National Forest in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. My first book "Aliana Reaches for the Moon" is about a creative, curious, kind and messy girl who loves science and her very patient parents. I'm currently writing a YA novel about a family broken apart by a secret and a misunderstanding. Future books in the Aliana series will include dealing with forest fires, learning about clouds and animal habitats. View more posts

I’m thinking Charlie sees being inside during all this as tragically unfair. I know our dog would be going crazy. She thinks squirrels are outerspace invaders.

Charlie is very lucky. He is outside on hiking trails almost every day, running and swimming with his BFF, Meadow. He never barks at his new friend, Walter.

This made me laugh, 😀 I see you caught he/she red handed! (Lovely photos though, we don’t get squirrels here in deepest suburbia.)

Yes, Andrew we caught him red handed. 😂😂 I love how intently Charlie watches him at the pumpkin and then when he takes a piece to the tree next to the front step to eat in peace. Charlie never barks and just watches quietly. Sadly, the neighbor’s dog barks and scares Walter (the squirrel) away but he always comes back. More tomorrow. 🐿
