Mother Nature’s Finest Part Two Full Moon

Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving!

I'm a reading specialist and award winning educator from Chicago now living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with my Goldendoodle, Charlie. I spend time volunteering, hiking on the trails with Charlie and friends, and writing. I love visiting schools and mentoring writers and teachers. My books combine STEM and Kindness. "Aliana Reaches for the Moon" a picture book that draws inspiration from the moon and the curiosity of children, inviting children to be creative, explore, and experiment. "An Accidental Hero: A Mostly True Wombat Story" a picture book told in the form of a newscast which skillfully balances the serious subject of forest fires with compassion and humor to help children navigate this important topic through the real events of 2020. I'm currently working on a middle grade novel and several picture books with STEM elements and dogs.

  1. 🙂 You may remember I once told you I was an Apollo Moon landing geek, well I also own a telescope and watch the stars and I’m loving the photos……………. I’ve taken pictures through the telescope eyepiece but they’re no as good as yours did you use a moon filter?

    1. I do remember. 😊 Thank you for your kind words. My camera has a 720x zoom and I take photos at different intervals of zoom. The ones that show craters are at the highest level of zoom but I also enjoy the ones that are less crisp but include the mountains or trees for perspective.
I don’t use any filters and I post unaltered photos unless stated otherwise.
If I may ask, do you like the close up ones (moon only) better or the ones with the mountains?
