A short film of photos and clips of the moon. I’m working with iMovie to practice when I make my book trailer. If you’re experienced in this, feel free to comment. I’m looking for advice.
The Stanley Hotel is best known for the 1980 cult classic “The Shining.” Combining the talents of writer Stephen King, director Stanley Kubrick, and actor Jack Nicholson, this has incited more than its share of nightmares. Upon mention of the hotel, most people will immediately be thinking:
Redrum, Here’s Johnny, or a typewriter with the words, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”
The hotel is a luxurious place with rooms and hallways full of charm, mirrors (are there evil spirits looking back at you?), fine dining options, and breathtaking views everywhere you look – Only a six mile drive to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The latest Pixar release is truly a masterpiece for all ages. I finally saw it today, in a sold out theater full of children, parents, and grandparents. A perfect family movie!
I loved Miguel, a young boy who dreams of being a musician even though his family strictly prohibits music. The story centers on Día de los Muertos where Miguel crosses over to the Land of the Dead and meets his ancestors. The richness of the story featuring a beautifully depicted Mexican family made my heart swell with the love I have for my former students and their families.
I won’t share any spoilers here, but the magnificent colors, themes of family and following your dreams, and music are all perfecto! Below is a link to “Remember Me” a beautiful song with a lovely message. Enjoy.
